BEEF LIVER STRIPS WITH BACON AND FAROFA


Some people like, there are people who hate it. Anyway, give a chance to these beef liver strips that side with crisp bacon and a simple and easy farofa. Serve with a salad, rice, beans or whatever you prefer.






400g beef strips
60ml vinegar
Salt
Pepper
100g bacon
1 large onion
2 garlic cloves

Farofa
70g bacon
6 olives
1/2 diced onion

Directions
Cut the beef liver into strips, put in a sieve and sprinkle vinegar. Drain, taste with salt and pepper and reserve for 5 minutes.
Cut bacon into strips. Thinly slice the onion and garlic.
In a skillet, fry the onion and bacon. Add garlic and stir. Add beef liver and fry until is tender.

Farofa
Chop the bacon, olives and onion into small cubes. Fry bacon and onion. Add olives and cassava flour, remove from heat and stir well.

Serve: 4 portions.

  2. It has taken me many many years to acquire a taste for liver and even now I can only eat very small portions of it. This looks good and I would enjoy a small sample. Thank you for sharing this.
