JAPANESE COOKIES

This japanese cookie is delicious! Thinly, crispy, sweet. If you prefer, you can flavor with orange blossom water. Always sprinkle with sesame seed, those will give a special taste.

70g butter
85g sugar
1 pinch of salt
150g flour
2 tbsp cold water
3 tbsp grated ginger root
Sesame seed

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
Cream together butter, sugar and salt until pale and fluffy. Fold in flour. Add water and grated ginger and beat until incorporate. Roll out the dough between two plastics with less than 0,5 cm. Cut with a round cutter and sprinkle sesame seed. Bake for about 10 minutes.

Serve: 50 cookies

  2. So nice and thin; the sesame would give this a nice nutty flavor and texture. Looks delicious!

  3. I've never seen these cookies before but they look so good! Many Japanese cookies that you buy in stores have hydrogenated oils and such, so I really appreciate this recipe :) The sesame sounds fabulous on top!

  11. Thankyou for a very delicious recipe! Mine don't look nearly as pretty as yours though...they tended to stretch so much when I moved them from the plastic onto the baking tray, so they are all different shapes! They still taste great though!
