How to give a special touch to a plain chocolate cake

This is more a tip than a recipe, 'cause it's a plain chocolate cake. Fluffy, yummy, but a plain cake. The "touch" is the presentation that combines dulce de leche, orange and orange fruit bar.

100g butter in room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup flour
150ml milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Dulce de leche
Peeled oranges, cut into 4 pieces
Orange fruit bars

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Grease a 20cm square pan.

2. Cream butter with sugar until is pale and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract. Alternately, add flour and milk, beating in minimum speed. When all ingredients are ended, turn off the beater immediately. Gently, fold in the baking powder. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted comes out clean.

3. Then cooled, cut the cake into squares and fill with dulce de leche. Serve with oranges, orange fruit bars and mint leaves.

Tips: You can use strawberry fruit bars and strawberries instead the orange fruit bars and oranges.

Serve: 6 pieces.

  2. Interesting that you add your baking powder only after mixing the rest of the ingredients to the batter. Drooling good photos!
