MARBLE CAKE


Marble cake is one way to combine two flavors that pair very well: vanilla and chocolate. If you like both, try this delectable cake. It's unnecessary frosting to win all the family.






200g sweet butter in room temperature
200g sugar
4 eggs in room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp rum
2 tbsp milk
250g flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cocoa powder
100g melted dark chocolate

Frosting
100g dark chocolate
5 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Grease a 22cm round pan or two 15cm bundt cake pan. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Cream the butter and sugar until is creamy and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla, rum and milk and beat just until is smooth.
Gently, fold in the sifted ingredients with a silicon spatula, do not overmix to the cake not becomes hard after baked.
Divide the batter into 2 parts and stir one of them in cocoa powder and melted chocolate. Spread the mixtures into the chosen pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted comes out clean.

Frosting
Melt the chocolate and stir in milk and vanilla. Cover even warm over the cake.

Cook's tip: It's important to say the cake is crumbly.

Serve: 12 portions.
