This is one of those wonderful recipes! One of the reasons for it is the chocolate, but the buttery, crispy and aromatic dough is perfect! It's just like naughty fingers in an innocent act, smear itself in chocolate.
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
150g unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
To the chocolate dip
100g milk chocolate
100g dark chocolate
Directions
1. In a bowl, whisk sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in the butter with your fingertips. Add egg and vanilla and mix until is a smooth dough.
2. Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
3. Mold the cookies in a finger shape. If the dough is too soft, add a little more flour. If it's too dry, crumbling, add 1 or 2 tbsp milk. Place these cookies onto a non greased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the base is golden brown. Let cool over a rack.
4. Melt both chocolates together and dip the tip of each cookie in this mixture. Let dry over a waxed paper and store in an airtight container.
Tips: If prefer, dip the cookies just in dark chocolate.
Serve: About 40 cookies.
